Hospitality Tax Should be Used as A General Tax

The State newspaper's editorial staff has an editorial suggesting state lawmakers allow local governments to use restaurant hospitality taxes for any purpose. They opine, "While state law dictates that revenue from the tax be used only for tourism-related projects, most taxpayers don't differentiate one pot of money from another.
